Preparing for Your Portrait

Remember the objective of this portrait…a beautiful, sensitive portrait, which shows the relationship and personalities of each person in the portrait.

Keep the clothing subtle – but be careful not to dress anyone in an outfit that is not an expression of their personality, or that they don’t feel comfortable wearing. What you want to avoid is having any one person “jump” out of the portrait because he or she is dressed in a lighter or brighter outfit than everyone else. Work for balance, harmony and color coordination. When you bring your clothing in Mr. Joubert will personally assist you in any way possible. Don’t worry about anything, your complete portrait will be superb because of this careful planning. If you have any questions, Mr. Joubert will assist you in any way possible.

When you discuss the upcoming photographic session with your children, do not instruct them to “smile” or “do exactly as Mr. Joubert says,” etc. Simply let them know how excited you are about the photography, and leave everything to Mr. Joubert.
